Without nerve blocks I would have got into street drugs and possible accidental death.
I am so much happier now that I see so much improvement and can dream of doing more in life - for example, travel.
Nerve blocks have made a great difference in my pain levels and the quality of my life. Prior to the nerve blocks, I could barely walk a block even with the use of my cane and/or walker. Now I can walk between six and eight blocks. Also prior to the nerve blocks, if I had to go out to an appointment for example, I would have to make sure I didn't go out the day before as that would impact my ability to go out the day of the appointment. I would also have to make sure that I didn't have to go out the day after my appointment as I would usually have to lay down for the remainder of the day as well as the next day. Since beginning the nerve blocks, my recovery time has lessened from days to a day or even hours depending on how much the activity increased my pain level.
Living with pain made life really hard and with depression I was thinking of suicide. Finally something that helps my pain. Life is so much better.
I used to have to rely on my dad for grocery shopping, but now I can do my own grocery shopping as I can push the cart.
Nerve blocks gave me my life back. Indispensable to my well-being and productivity.
Nerve blocks helped reduce my sciatica pain. Less pain while driving. I could not continue in my line of work if I didn't get blocks.
Nerve blocks at CPM are the only option for my chronic pain that have been beneficial for me due to my severe stomach sensitivities to the medications that have been given to me. Other medications have caused me to be sick with severe stomach pain or dizziness that hindered my quality of life severely. Nerve blocks have significantly improved my chronic pain and quality of life. Nerve blocks have been the only option so far that is working best for my situation and I stick with them because of this.
It has helped greatly in reducing the pain in my back. Without them I would be back to square one trying to get some kind of pain relief. The injections have had a great impact on pain relief.
It literally put the pep back in my step.
Nerve blocks have enabled me to better enjoy time with my family.
The progress has been slow, but steady. There have been variations in the intensity of the pain. I have more or less depended on the injections as I don't like taking medications daily.
I cut my own toenails for the first time in seven years and had minimal pain. You have no idea how amazing that is for someone who cannot do anything from her waist down. Picking something off the floor knowing you don't feel that agonizing pain or feeling as if you're going to pass out when you sit up. To know I can be alone without fear. There have been many ways nerve blocks have improved my quality of life, but I hope the above examples have helped for you to see how severely my life was compromised and that the tasks people do without thought daily can be so difficult once you are injured and in agonizing pain. I am so thankful for these nerve blocks as they have given me a second chance at life. Try to put a price tag on that!
It has given me the opportunity to do more of the things I enjoy without as much medication. Being able to not take as many pills, to do activities or just get through some days has been a big benefit for me. I don't dread the thought of having to do certain chores or spend time with people anymore (or as much as I used to). I know some of my pain problems are getting worse, so I can't even imagine what it would be like without shots. My existing problems are better, but new ones are coming up (it's what I meant by some of my pain problems getting worse).
A godsend. I wish I had known about it sooner!
Prior to starting pain blockers I was in constant pain and fear that I would need a third surgery for my back. I started coming to CPM weekly at the beginning and then went to every two weeks and I am now at every third week. This has been a longer process than surgery, but very effective. Both times I had surgery, the pain was back within six months in a different disc.
I am a diabetic with severe migraines and neuropathy. Having lived the last ten years in chronic pain, Dr. Blecher and the clinic have been a god sent miracle for my life. I would not be living as good of a life as I am now without the compassionate care I have been receiving from CPM and Dr. Blecher. One thing I have noticed is how knowledgeable the staff is. I have learned a lot about why I am in pain and the causes. This makes a person feel better about themselves. Before I was always in a deep, dark, chronic pain spiral. Now I still have chronic pain, but it is lighter and I have a doctor and clinic that understands. So thank you for what you have provided to people in my situation. Please do not stop what your clinic is providing.
