Annual Excellence Awards 2017

In addition to the Ramesh Zacharias Award introduced last year, CPM created four new excellence awards in 2017. The Annual Excellence Awards are to be awarded to a selected nurse, administrative, support services and management staff member who have demonstrated leadership while also providing compassionate and high quality care of patients with chronic pain. The recipients are chosen based on feedback from staff and management and will be awarded annually at CPM Pain Day.

The awards include:

The Ramesh Zacharias Award

Dr. Kevin Green was awarded the Ramesh Zacharias Award 2017 at the 10th Annual Pain Update Conference on Saturday, October 21st, 2017. The Ramesh Zacharias Award was created to honour Dr. Ramesh Zacharias, the founder of CPM, who had the vision to create the largest (and best) outpatient pain management organization in Canada. This award recognizes someone who has demonstrated leadership while also providing compassionate and high quality care of patients with pain.

Dr. Green provides high quality compassionate pain care to his patients. In additional, he has become an integral part of the training and supervision program at CPM Oshawa. He agreed to step in on short notice to supervise when a colleague was unable to continue to do so. When asked to help out his answer has always been “Whatever you need me to do.” His readiness to help out has been a great example for everyone at CPM.

Congratulations to Dr. Kevin Green!
